Expedia

Explore flights, hotels, car rentals, things to do, and more. I use Expedia for most of my domestic flights and international hotels. Sometimes airfare/hotels are cheaper directly from their website. Expedia is a good search engine to start but before booking, check the airline/hotel’s direct website for possible cheaper rates.

Google Flights

The University of Texas at Austin First Abroad Scholarship

The First Abroad Scholarship supports first-generation students planning for a study abroad experience. It is a one-time scholarship of $3,000 used to fund participation in a UT-approved study abroad program. This scholarship is ideal for first-generation students that know they want to study abroad but have not yet chosen a program. Recipients work with a program coordinator to explore options, learn about funding opportunities, and establish an academic plan for education abroad.

The University of Arkansas Global Opportunity Passport Project

The University of Arkansas Office of Study Abroad has won a nationally competitive grant program with the Institute of International Education, providing scholarships to cover the costs of approximately 25 passports for Pell-eligible and other qualifying U.S. freshmen. The American Passport Project is designed to remove the first barrier for study abroad — funding for a passport. The program is designed to promote equity in study abroad and support member institutions of the Institute of International Education in their efforts to encourage students to go abroad who would otherwise not participate in an international experience as part of their college education.
