Traveler Tale: I was in my 40s when I got my first passport. But the gateway was when I moved 3,000 miles away from my home in northern Virginia to go to grad school in Los Angeles. It may as well have been a foreign country. Since my first trip to El Salvador (thanks to my job), I’ve been with my family to Spain and Greece. The greatest gift is traveling with my children. I want them to know that the world is theirs.
